  WTF is a "fireside chat"? Is that anything like a seaside sermon, kind of like that guy gave...oh what's his name....JESUS?!

  I hadn't seen this. Thanks for sharing. So sad that this 11 year old has had her childhood destroyed by this man. Very sad.

  hello all.. there was a request made by some here...well ok one person here to say a little bit about myself and what happened to my wifes nephew nad his unjust disfellowship.. ok...well, i think i have already said a little about myself before, so i will be quick.

  started to study in 1987 and then was baptised in 1989 at hayesbridge assembly hall (sorry...my spelling...forgotton how to spell hayesbridge) in surrey just south of the m25.

  i went to pakistan to help for a little while and there i met my now wife.

  Thanks for sharing your story. It's always interesting to see how people come to be here.
  Sound like you've really been through alot. The rumour mill always got me. I mean what could be more blatantly unchristian? So crazy!
  As for your wife's nephew, wow. It's sad but I've heard so many stories now like his that it no longer surprises me. I hope that he does his research and sees the org for what it is so he doesn't consider going back.
  Where does your wife stand at the moment? Is she still attending?

  i just finished reading the book "lamb" by christopher moore.

  its subtitle tells all: "the gospel according to biff, christ's childhood pal.

  " basically, it's a humorous fictional account of the 30 year gap in christ's life that the gospels don't really talk much about.

  I just finished reading the book "Lamb" by Christopher Moore. Its subtitle tells all: "The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal." Basically, it's a humorous fictional account of the 30 year gap in christ's life that the gospels don't really talk much about. It's hilarious, witty and intelligent! Worth reading.

  A NEW Flock book has been released, with notes by a Presiding Overseer

  for several years there has been available a pay attention to yourselves and to the flock book in pdf and html format.

  this book has proven to be extremely valuable in exposing the morally questionable activities of the watchtower society.

  now we have a new version that is even more valuable because it contains the hand-written notes of a presiding overseer, some notes as recent as late 2005. these notes are frequently dictated to elders by a circuit overseer or district overseer in order to avoid liability (the wts can deny every giving such instructions).

  Thanks Richie and Elsewhere for your work on this. It was the elder's manual that was the proverbial straw for my disassociating last August. It reads like a Pharisee's handbook. The legalism and lack of love does not reflect to me the spirit of christ.
  Having been through a traumatic six hour judicial committee in the past, it brought up so many flashbacks to read the manual. But I'm glad I did. And I will revisit this one and see what the notes add to the experience. I sincerely hope that this information can help others to see through the wts.
